They’ll take care of payroll, benefit enrollments and key operation elements so you don’t have to think twice about what’s going on behind the scenes. Plus, they’ll also keep an eye on ways to reduce turnover and enhance the onboarding experience for all of your new hires.

Chief People Officer

Robin Black

Robin joins us with over 20 years of Human Resources experience in consumer goods organizations like Nestle, Diageo and Blue Buffalo, the pet food company. She joins us most recently from Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy, where she led the rapidly-growing Human Resources function for 4,000 teammates across nearly 400 outpatient PT, OT and Speech Therapy clinics in the US.

Robin is originally from the Pittsburgh area and obtained her BSBA from Bucknell University. She discovered the sport of Pickleball last year and fell in love; when she’s not working, you can find her on the courts near her home in Ridgefield, CT. She’s also a raving Steelers fan and can’t wait for football season to come back around.

Robin and her husband Scott have been married for 4 years, and they are raising a blended family of 5 teenagers including Robin’s triplet 15-year-olds and two adorable rescue dogs, Harper and Cassidy.

Joelle is the Vice President of Talent Acquisition and Leadership Development for Alliance Animal Health

Joelle has worked in the veterinary industry for over 18 years in areas such as business development, talent acquisitions and recruiting, hospital start-ups and operations including multi-unit management, sales, training and development, and emerging corporate account management. Joelle is passionate about helping people identify the best career opportunities, building strong teams, providing opportunities for growth, learning, and continued development. She is committed to making a positive difference in the veterinary community!

    Michele Torres

    Michele began her career as a high school teacher but quickly transitioned into talent acquisition, acquiring 20+ years of recruiting experience across a variety of different industries. Most recently having led a DVM recruitment team focused on sourcing and hiring both current and future veterinarians. Her professional accomplishments also include the creation and implementation of numerous recruiting-focused training programs and courses on interviewing techniques. Michele is passionate about improving the hiring experience for both the recruiter and the candidate.

    Michele lives in the western Chicago suburbs with her husband and 14-year-old Leonberger, Bowie. She is also the proud mother of two grown children. Outside of work, Michele can be found at a Cubs game, or camping (well... glamping because she has to be able to watch the Cub games), and hiking, where she enjoys geocaching and photographing animals and nature's more unique creations.

    Lindsay Shemansky

    Lindsay Shemansky is a Talent Acquisition Manager at Alliance Animal Health.

    Lindsay has been professionally recruiting for over 6 years. Lindsay most recently joins us having worked as a Veterinary Recruiter specializing in DVM recruitment for a Jacksonville, FL based veterinary group. She enjoys developing relationships with others, helping match them to the best new career opportunity and is very passionate about the veterinary field. She lives in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL with her two lazy dogs, Golden Retriever, Eli - 6 and Saint Bernard, Clover - 3.

    Raven Buck

    Raven has worked in the Animal Health industry for 10+ years, gaining experience as a Veterinary Technician and Nutraceutical Sales Representative. Driven by her passion for Animal Health, she takes pride in providing the best possible care for animals; large and small, in and out of clinical settings. She is enthusiastic about advancing her career and helping others to navigate and fulfill their own. As a Talent Acquisition Manager, her goals are not limited to sourcing and recruiting like-minded individuals with an enthusiastic passion for Animal Medicine, but also developing strategies to retain this specialized talent.

    Outside of the office, Raven is very adventurous! She has 2 small dogs, Penny a 4lb Chihuahua and Charlie a Bichon. Raven enjoys meeting new people, creating memories with her family, spending time outdoors, and traveling the world with her Fiancé, Michael.

    Jessica has dedicated her career and specialized her skillset in full life cycle recruiting within diverse healthcare sectors both in human and veterinary medicine for over 15 years. She has a passion for proactive sourcing and loves the challenge of finding that perfect candidate for a “hard to fill position”. She is excited about the opportunity to lead a team that is dedicated to enriching the quality and quantity of DVM leads for our AAH partner hospitals. Jessica is proud to be known for her commitment to high standards of quality, integrity, and successful recruiting strategies.     Katy Corbo

    She has a proven track record in the talent acquisition space with over seven years of experience. Her experience in full-desk recruitment ranges from high-volume-based hiring to executive global and niche skillsets. She is well-versed in recruitment practices, with strengths in fostering relationships, creating strong and effective sourcing strategies, and acting as a full-cycle talent advisor. As a dog lover, she is excited to branch out into the veterinary industry.

    In her free time, Katy enjoys taking her golden retriever on adventures to the park, the beach, or on the boat. She loves the outdoors and being active! Katy also enjoys trying new restaurants and traveling!

  • Support Staff Recruiting Specialist

    Kate Burdick

    She is a Certified Veterinary Technologist with 10 years of experience in the Veterinary Medical field. After working in general practice for just over 5 years she made the transition to education. Kate has been teaching Veterinary Technology students since 2017 and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Adult Learning and Higher Education with a focus in Biology. She joins us most recently from Joliet Junior College, which is recognized as the first Community College in the United States. Prior to that, she worked at Fox College, an accelerated degree program. Kate has taught nearly all classes in the Fox College vet tech program, ranging from Veterinary Terminology to Surgical Nursing and Anesthesia, and has a particular passion for teaching Animal Anatomy and Physiology. Kate’s clinical experience was primarily in general practice. She has worked for tiny single doctor-owned hospitals as well as corporate giants. In her free time, Kate enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, cycling, and playing video games. Her fiancée is an IT Cybersecurity nerd and together they have made a family with loveable mutt Lucia, their evil black cat Moxxi, and a small Kenyan Sand Boa named Nigel Snakeberry.

    Ashley Tipton

    A veteran with 16 years experience in the industry, Ashley has a strong passion for veterinary medicine and the people who take care of our furry friends.

    She’s also passionate about developing strong relationships and helping others find their perfect fit within a team, works hard and is proud of her track record in creating culture that is positive, productive and cohesive.

    Outside of her career, Ashley is also a 200 E-RYT and enjoys incorporating her knowledge of yoga into her everyday life. She enjoys spending time with her husband roller skating the scenic trails along her hometown beach in Clearwater, FL, and taking care of their two dogs, two cats and four chickens.

    Emily Harrison

    Most recently Emily oversaw operations as a Practice Manager for over 3 years and has been involved in the Veterinary field for 9+ years now. She maintained a high level of efficiency and productivity while keeping focus on associate well-being. Skillful at strategic planning as well as leading organizational change that is aligned with business objectives. Several years of experience in finding and sourcing candidates from multiple different sources. Emily's passion for selecting great talent and building strong relationships has brought her to where she is today.

    Outside of her career, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband Joshua, their 4-year-old daughter Mila, 1-year-old son Jhett and her 9-year-old Pitbull Dipstick. You can find Emily at the nearest beach soaking up the sun or BBQing at home with her family and friends. She enjoys the water and summer sun, but her favorite time of year is Fall.

    Madeline Zurowsky, DVM

    Madeline, or “Dr. Z,” earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Clemson University and went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University. She comes from multiple years of small animal clinical experience as a general practitioner passionate about motivating veterinary staff, creating meaningful client relationships via top-notch medical treatment for patients in Raleigh, NC.

    She joined the Alliance family to provide meaningful education platforms for veterinary students and partners as the Campus & Industry Partnerships Veterinarian. She continues to strategically connect our network with top notch talent and opportunities in veterinary medicine and empowering the next generation of veterinarians with networking, mentorship, and scholarship opportunities.

    When Dr. Z is not traveling or working, she enjoys attending concerts, cheering on her favorite sports teams, and golfing with her husband. She also enjoys taking selfies and photos of her two Corgis- Middleton “Mids”+ Paddington “Pads.”

    Natalie Hann

    Natalie has spent her time in the veterinary medicine field conceptualizing, planning, and executing campus events, with a focus on creating genuine connections and being a positive representation of the organization’s mission and values. She joins us most recently from National Veterinary Associates, where she first began in Business Development, building relationships with DVMs, developing their corporate and VIP event program, and led their industry liaison initiative. She realized her passion was connecting with doctors and made the move to the Campus Recruiting where she was thrilled to be a part of their vet med journey. Natalie loves snuggling with her 6-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter while watching an episode of Bluey or a classic Disney movie. She and her husband enjoy the rare date night out to an arcade, museum, or the highly prized Target run. And her favorite co-worker is a 10-year-old beagle mix named Penelope.

    Haley Ebert

    Haley is an experienced veterinary sourcer with a proven track record of finding top talent in critical markets. She prioritizes her relationships with recruiters to ensure a flawless handoff and candidate experience. She comes to us after almost 4 years at Banfield Pet Hospital. There she developed a veterinarian specific sourcing strategy that lead to strong hires across the business. Prior to that, Haley worked in tech at Facebook and Quora. She prides herself on leveraging the latest technology to streamline sourcing processes. In her free time, Haley enjoys exploring the great Oregon outdoors and the Portland food scene with her partner Eddie. They are so excited for their upcoming wedding in September!

    Victoria Radford

    Victoria is an experienced veterinary sourcer, awesome at finding top talent across multiple markets. She keeps candidate experience at the forefront of her strategies. Victoria practices diverse outreach strategies, contact finding to best reach quality candidates, and prioritizes organization to be prompt in her communication. She comes to us after 2 years at Banfield Pet Hospital, where she cultivated partnerships with recruiters and produced quality leads that led to hires for the business. Prior to that, Victoria worked in logistics. She is looking forward to joining the team and is excited to continue helping connect veterinarians to their dream role. In her free time, Victoria enjoys exploring the PNW outdoors, spending time with family and friends, traveling, baking, and taking care of her two dogs, Danny and Brody.

    Kate Ostrowski

    Kate has over 15 years of experience in veterinary medicine, from working in clinic as a credentialed technician to instructor to corporate sourcing. Kate’s background is primarily in general practice and wildlife medicine.

    She is excited to bring her sourcing skills to Alliance Animal Health and contribute to the growth and the success of the company as well as to each individual practice.

    Kate has a true passion for the field of veterinary medicine. When she isn’t working, she loves to travel, spend times outdoors, going to sporting events, and enjoys a good reality tv show. She is the proud owner of a 10-month-old Doberman, named Blaze, an 8-year-old DSH cat named Tuna, as well as 2 human children and a loving husband.

    Kacie Willcuts

    Kacie has 10 years of industry experience ranging from reproductive speciality, emergency and critical care, general practice, wildlife rehabilitation, to zoological medicine. She is coming from her most recent position as a Registered Veterinary Technician at Denver Zoo where she oversaw the surgical preparation room and surgical suite as well as helped with the DVM externship program.

    Kacie is excited to join Alliance because of how relational the company is. She loves to connect with individuals and help them find what area of veterinary medicine will interest them most. She also loves that Alliance has a deep commitment for trust in the industry.

    In Kacie’s spare time she loves to travel with her husband, Marc, as well as thrift. She is a big lover of all things Disney! She also has a one eyed pup named Yogurt they rescued from New Mexico.

  • Externship Coordinator

    Kevin Monaghan

    He joins us most recently from Eastern University, where he was part of the Graduate Admissions Team, assisting students with the enrollment process and overseeing recruiting efforts. Prior to that, he was the Business Development Coordinator for NVA, where he supported the day-to-day operations of the sales team for various stages of the acquisitions process. With Office Management and Bookkeeping experience, he enjoys doing his part to streamline processes, helping his team achieve their goals, and cultivating a positive work environment. Kevin is excited to be back in the veterinary industry, supporting those who serve animals and their families. He is looking forward to a higher likelihood of seeing pets during his work calls again. In his free time, Kevin loves to write music and dabble in visual arts. When he’s not trying to grow something in his garden, you can find him with some good food watching a funny movie with his family and his orange tabby cat, Ginny.

  • Senior Director of Payroll

    Rochelle DuRant

    Ro is a dedicated Payroll professional with two decades of experience. Her experience includes defining payroll solution landscapes, HCM transformations, payroll processing and regulatory compliance. Ro has a proven track record of effectively “keeping the trains running” in the payroll function, while implementing process improvements that are required to keep pace with a growing business. Ro is excited to be a part of the Alliance family as she appreciates the emphasis on company culture. She believes it is important to work for a company that shares the same values that she holds. Ro is a native New Yorker currently residing in New Jersey. She has a 9-year-old daughter named Isley and a 3-year-old Toy Poodle named Noir. In her spare time, Ro enjoys crafting skincare products such as soap bars, body butters and body scrubs. In the words of Ro, “Let’s Glo!”.

    Jesse Goldstein

    Jesse graduated in 2018 from SUNY Oneonta with a BA in business economics. After college, he started his payroll career by working for a gas and electric company for a little over two years.

    Most recently, Jesse comes to us from Ivy Rehab in White Plains, where he was a payroll coordinator whose responsibilities included processing and auditing multi-state payrolls with various frequencies in ADP Workforce Now.

    In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym and spending time outdoors. When he can, he loves to travel and go to the beach. He also lives with his girlfriend and their cat, Bernardo, on whom they have to keep a close eye to make sure he doesn’t get into too much trouble while they cook together.

  • Payroll Specialist

    Karlene Douglas

    Karlene Douglas is a Payroll Specialist for Alliance Animal Health.

    Karlene has over fifteen years of payroll experience. In her previous positions as Payroll Manager, she was responsible for managing all aspects day to day payroll processing and reporting. Prior to joining Alliance Animal Health, Karlene worked for Historic Hudson Valley, New York Runners, Roivant Science, and the Center for Reproductive Rights. Karlene graduated from Monroe College in New Rochelle, with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management (summa cum laude).

    Karlene’s love for animals, especially dogs, got her interested in joining AAH. She loves to laugh and tell jokes, especially when hanging out with her thirteen siblings, other family members and friends.

  • Payroll Specialist

    Kelly Kia

    With a love for traveling, Kelly has lived in three countries and seven states, accumulating over 10 years of payroll experience, a field she is passionate about. In addition to her professional background, she is a self-proclaimed florist. Her love for flowers has allowed her to connect with the beauty of nature in various places, and she has a deep appreciation for reading and enjoys hiking as hobbies. When she is not outdoors, engrossed in a book, or arranging flowers, she can be found working out to stay grounded in her busy life. She also dedicates her time to volunteering with her church, a community that has offered her a warm and supportive home no matter where she's lived. These diverse experiences, both personally and professionally, have enriched her perspective, enabling her to connect with people from all walks of life. It's a reminder that her journey, much like a good book, is enriched by the people she meets along the way.

    Monique Lopez

    Monique has 14 years of payroll experience and has worked for companies such as KIND Snacks and Peloton. Recently, she worked at OwnBackup as their first Payroll Specialist and developed the end-to-end payroll process. Monique has processed payroll globally for countries including UK, France, Australia and Israel. She is excited to bring her knowledge and experience to the team. She appreciates the importance of Payroll and can’t wait to contribute to a seamless payroll experience for all employees. In her free time, Monique loves to be home with her husband and dog, Pepper! She also loves to travel internationally, especially when it includes a beach and great food.

  • HR Operations Manager

    Sara Anthony

    Sara graduated in 2019 from Northeastern University in Boston with a BA in Communications Studies. She joins us most recently from Varis, an e-procurement company under Office Depot Corporation, where she worked as a Recruiting Operations Coordinator supporting a large team of recruiters in the tech space, as well as ATS administration and onboarding tasks. Prior to that, she worked as an HR Coordinator at Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy for over 2 years, where she managed the leave of absence program and supported benefits and HRIS administration in ADP Workforce Now. In her free time, Sara enjoys cozying up with a great book, crocheting, or watching reality TV. Sara lives in Norwalk, CT, with her boyfriend, Connor, and their cat, Theo. As a lifelong animal lover from North Carolina, she is thrilled to be working with an awesome team and an organization supporting the great people who help our pets.

    Karen Kirsch

    Karen joins us from the world of education, previously working as a high school math teacher.  She received her undergraduate degree from The University of Vermont and a Masters degree from New York University, both in Secondary Mathematics Education.  Human resources is something that has always been of interest to her, and she is excited about this opportunity to apply her transferable skills and learn more about the many facets of the discipline.  

    As an animal lover, Karen is particularly excited to join Alliance Animal Health. She believes in our mission and appreciates the importance of great veterinary care in maintaining and enriching the health of our furry friends. 

    Karen resides in CT with her husband Jeff and their 2 daughters.  In her free time she enjoys going to barre class, reading, and spending time with her 2 dogs and 2 cats.

  • Benefits and Leaves of Absence (LOA) Specialist

    Reilly Bramlett

    Reilly has five years of experience as an HR Generalist across several companies. She's spent the last few years working within recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll, leaves of absence, and supporting the overall employee experience. Prior to working in HR, she worked for four years at a doggy daycare!  Reilly is excited to combine her passions for both HR and animals at Alliance. Reilly graduated from Portland State University with a double major in Business Administration and Human Resources Management, with a minor in Sustainability.

    Reilly currently lives in New York City. In her free time, she enjoys wheel throwing and making ceramics, bouldering, reading classic novels, and trying new restaurants in the city!

    Ashley Donnelly

    Ashley comes to Alliance Animal Health with a human health background, spending the majority of the past decade in the healthcare industry, with a concentration on HR and leadership. In her most recent role, Ashley was the HR Manager at a behavioral health facility, where she spent time creating new hire protocols, organizing and maintaining personnel files, and being the point person for local and state HR audits. Ashley is a graduate of Millersville University with a BA in Psychology. Ashley lives in Pennsylvania with her boyfriend, Mike, and their cat, Winnie. She is an avid Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Lakers fan. When not at a sporting event rooting on her teams, you can find Ashley spending time with family & friends, traveling, or shopping! Kelly Krimm

Kelly has over 10 years of HR experience having spent most of her career working in the insurance and animal health industries. She has experience in multiple HR functions but has spent most of her HR career focused on HRIS and M&A. Most recently, she spent almost five years supporting the HR M&A function with another veterinary group where she managed over 80 successful partnerships. Kelly is passionate about building relationships with new team members and ensuring a positive onboarding experience.
Kelly graduated from Penn State University with a BA in Advertising and Public Relations and two minors in Business and International Studies. She resides in Philadelphia and spends her free time stressing out over Philadelphia sports, traveling, and spending time at the Jersey Shore with friends and family.

Victoria Franz

Victoria has over a decade of HR experience, having spent most of her career working in the healthcare industry. She joins us from Triumph Orthopedics, where she held a Director role supporting the orthopedic practices and corporate office. She has knowledge in all areas of HR and has spent much of her career focused on Talent and Employee Relations.
Victoria graduated from Mars Hill University with a BA in Psychology and minor in Business Administration. She also has her Masters degree in Human Resource Management.
Victoria lives in Nashville, TN with her husband, Matthew, and 3 year old havapoo, Luke “PawWalker.” In her free time, you can find Victoria at a local event with friends, at home cuddled on the couch with a good book or watching one of her and Matt’s favorite shows.
